Warstock Weather Station

Warstock is situated on the southern outskirts of the city of Birmingham some 0.5km from the rural belt.
Records commenced in 1996 that continued records kept by a nearby station.
The station is slightly hindered by adjacent houses and trees.

The displayed information on these pages is based on a Texas Weather Instruments electronics weather station where the sensors are mounted on the roof of my house.
Data is uploaded to this Web using Weatherview32 software

NOTES

Being sheltered, average wind speeds are some 50% less than those reported at Birmingham Airport based 9km to the NE.
Reported rainfall is at least 10% below a check gauge located on the lawn.
The temperature/humidity sensor is mounted on the north wall of the house and values agree well with the screen readings.
Data supplied monthly to the Climatological Observers Link [COL] are from the standard instruments of the lawn
